We welcome all gardens, arboreta, museums, science centers, aquariums, and zoos to join The Climate Toolkit! The Toolkit works to bring organizations together to work towards climate goals and challenges. All organizations are welcome; no matter where you are on your journey, we’re here to help you take the next steps.

To join the toolkit, we ask all institutions to complete our short application form. Here you be asked to:

  1. Declare a focus area (choosing from energy, water, food service, transportation, waste, landscapes and horticulture, investment, visitors or research);
  2. Select any applicable boxes related to your goal progress in that focus area; and
  3. Optionally, choose additional goals to share information about.

Once you’ve completed the form, a member of our staff will be in touch with you. If you have any questions, please email: climatetoolkit@phipps.conservatory.org.

Frequently Asked Questions

That’s okay! The Climate Toolkit welcomes every institution no matter where they are on their climate action journey. The Toolkit was created to help support institutions discuss and collaborate to become more sustainable, and your next steps can begin right now.

The Climate Toolkit only requires a desire to create climate action within your institution. You’ll get the most out of the Toolkit by keeping up with our blog, webinar series and newsletters, but your degree of involvement is self-defined and flexible.

Because working together makes challenging projects easier! When you’re ready to pursue a climate action goal, the Toolkit is here to connect you with someone who is working on similar efforts so that you can share best practices, brainstorm and learn alongside one another.
