Their resilience depends on science-led stewardship, conservation, and long-term adaptation. We are developing a comprehensive Climate Change Adaptation Plan focused specifically on our living collections — beginning with our trees — grounded in data, risk assessment, and performance evaluation. Distinct from operational sustainability efforts, this plant-centered framework will guide long-term collection and garden decisions, strengthening our ability to sustain plant diversity in a rapidly changing climate.

Through this community, we hope to share practical adaptation strategies, strengthen collective impact, and learn from peer institutions tackling similar challenges. We are best positioned to make a difference through our scientific expertise, conserved landscapes, and global conservation partnerships — demonstrating how biodiversity stewardship can function as a core climate solution.
