Climate Toolkit Pittsburgh provides free quarterly webinars on mitigation, climate action, and local solutions in the region. The webinar series aims to gather organizational leadership and staff members to present and discuss important steps that nonprofits can take to address climate change through programs and policies.
Climate Toolkit Pittsburgh Webinar 1:
Energy Efficiency & Indoor Air Quality
The built environment, which includes all human-made buildings and infrastructure, is responsible for approximately 42% of annual global CO2 emissions and represents a huge slice of the climate puzzle.
The first presentation in our new webinar series features Tobias Chan, Director of Building Performance & Engagement at Green Building Alliance, discussing strategies for lowering those emissions by enhancing local building performance, maximizing energy efficiency and improving indoor air quality.
About Green Building Alliance: GBA works across sectors and with communities to create beautiful, efficient, high-performing spaces that are healthy for people, the environment, and contribute to a thriving economy. Founded in 1993, GBA is one of the oldest green building organizations in the United States. GBA is also the founder and convener of the Pittsburgh 2030 District, an incredibly impactful network of over 540 local properties which together have avoided 340 million metric tons of CO2 emissions.
