Youth Spotlight Series: Building a Community of Nature Lovers in Universities with Gruppo Lataste

Join us as we hear from the Lataste Group, an independent student-formed organization from the University of Padova (Italy), founded by students and aimed primarily at fellow students from the Natural Sciences and Biology degree programs. In this Youth Spotlight, the Lataste Group’s presentation will center around the ways they have built a community of nature enthusiasts where members can share experiences, knowledge, and advice, working together toward a deeper understanding and appreciation of the natural world.

The Lataste Group organizes many activities focused on the natural sciences, including both field excursions and theoretical lectures. These events often involve experts in the field, ranging from university professors to external specialists, allowing them to learn directly from professionals actively working in specific areas of study. They will discuss how these offerings connect youth with important resources and bring together many people with interest in the natural sciences.

Our Youth Spotlight series aims to give remarkable young people the stage to share their work and inspire other youth in climate action. If you have young people who are taking great strides in climate action, please contact us to have them featured on a future Youth Spotlight.
