Modeling on our work through The Climate Toolkit, we are starting a free Climate Toolkit Youth Network for young people who are passionate about climate action and environmental justice. Just like the Climate Toolkit brings together museums, gardens and zoos to share knowledge and best practices around climate action, the new youth network will bring together young people from these institutions to share and celebrate their knowledge and hard work.
Youth from participating museums, science centers, gardens, arboreta, aquaria and zoos will have the opportunity to connect with other youth from around the world. The Climate Toolkit Youth Network will encourage youth from different places to interview each other about work they are doing, collaborate on climate action projects, serve as resources to one another and support each other’s projects in other ways. Similar to the Climate Toolkit’s webinar series, youth will have a platform to host quarterly Youth Climate Summits to lead discussions about topics they are passionate about and amplify their hard work. Slack and social media profiles will provide spaces where young people can have their own conversations about their work and both seek and give advice to other youth.
If you’re interested in joining the new network, please complete our registration form and we’ll be in touch soon!
