Vi intervjuade nyligen <strong>Norfolks botaniska tr\u00e4dg\u00e5rd <\/strong>(NBG) <strong>VD och koncernchef Michael Desplaines<\/strong> f\u00f6r att l\u00e4ra dig mer om tr\u00e4dg\u00e5rdens l\u00f6sning f\u00f6r att minska koldioxidutsl\u00e4ppen genom att \u00f6verg\u00e5 till f\u00f6rnybar energi.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ber\u00e4tta lite om NBG:s strategi f\u00f6r att minska koldioxidutsl\u00e4ppen p\u00e5 campus. Vilka typer av solpaneler anv\u00e4nder ni f\u00f6r n\u00e4rvarande p\u00e5 ert campus? Hur stor del av campus drivs f\u00f6r n\u00e4rvarande av solenergi?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NBG har \u00e5tagit sig att bli en ledare inom milj\u00f6\u00e5tg\u00e4rder och opinionsbildning. Vi vill anv\u00e4nda v\u00e5rt ledarskap f\u00f6r att inspirera andra och implementera l\u00f6sningar p\u00e5 milj\u00f6krisen. Vi anv\u00e4nder ett energik\u00f6psavtal, solproduktion och ett HVAC-system f\u00f6r att minska v\u00e5rt koldioxidavtryck p\u00e5 campus.<\/p>\n<p>Energiproduktionen fr\u00e5n v\u00e5ra solpaneler har minskat f\u00f6rbrukningen av v\u00e4xthusgaser fr\u00e5n eln\u00e4tet med 61%. NBG anv\u00e4nder 100% f\u00f6rnybar energi som k\u00f6ps fr\u00e5n Dominion Energy. 10% av v\u00e5r energi produceras p\u00e5 v\u00e5rt campus av solpaneler. V\u00e5r ink\u00f6pta energi \u00e4r en kombination av 34% biomassa och 56% solenergi. Fr\u00e5n och med i \u00e5r har vi f\u00f6rbrukat 550 megawatt biomassaenergi.<\/p>\n<p>NBG anv\u00e4nder Axitec-AC-330\/156 330 Watt, 72 CELL, 40 MM Monokristallint kisel (120) solpaneler. Nedan visas m\u00e4ngden MWh som producerats p\u00e5 plats p\u00e5 NBG per \u00e5r:<\/p>\n<p><strong>2018 - 18 MWh<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>2019 - 55MWh<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>2020 till dags dato - 44 MWh<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vi har ocks\u00e5 uppgraderat v\u00e5rt v\u00e4rme-, ventilations- och luftkonditioneringssystem till energieffektiva enheter som anv\u00e4nder milj\u00f6v\u00e4nliga k\u00f6ldmedier. Ett m\u00e5l med v\u00e5r \u00f6verg\u00e5ng var att eliminera klorfluorkarboner (CFC), fluorkolv\u00e4ten (HFC) och fluorolefiner (HFO) och de skadliga effekterna av deras produktion. Kontorsbyggnader st\u00e5r f\u00f6r 49% av koldioxidbelastningen i v\u00e4rlden och bytet av k\u00f6ldmedier och utrustning minskar koldioxidavtrycket med 39%.&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nVad fick dig att b\u00f6rja anv\u00e4nda f\u00f6rnybar energi?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reglerna f\u00f6r f\u00f6rnybar energi i Virginia har \u00e4ndrats sedan vi bytte leverant\u00f6r, men vid den tidpunkten var det inte ett alternativ att anv\u00e4nda en andrahandsleverant\u00f6r. Vi f\u00f6rbrukade inte tillr\u00e4ckligt med energi f\u00f6r att kvalificera oss f\u00f6r ett byte enligt delstatliga best\u00e4mmelser (5 GWh).
