Reykjavík Art Museum

Reykjavik Art Museum brings together hundreds of teenagers and contemporary Icelandic artists to respond to environmental change. Iceland, where glaciers are visibly retreating, is not short of artists with something to say about ecological fragility. The works range from emotional responses to disappearing landscapes to more scientific approaches to mapping possible futures. If museums want young people to care about the future, the work begins with inviting them into it — not as a passive audience, but as active, critical participants.
