Composto por dois jovens l\u00edderes e 18 jovens conselheiros, o grupo desenvolveu e implementou projetos relacionados ao meio ambiente, desenvolveu habilidades de lideran\u00e7a e planejamento de projetos, aprendeu sobre justi\u00e7a ambiental e clim\u00e1tica e se aprofundou em seus t\u00f3picos ambientais favoritos ao longo do programa. Uma das ferramentas mais poderosas que temos contra este fen\u00f3meno \u00e9 a a\u00e7\u00e3o colectiva. Ter uma rede ou um grupo de pessoas preocupadas com as altera\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas torna o ativismo clim\u00e1tico uma tarefa muito mais acess\u00edvel. Os grupos que re\u00fanem activistas do clima para aprenderem uns com os outros permitem que diferentes comunidades dentro do movimento de justi\u00e7a ambiental se juntem e facilitam um sentido de for\u00e7a colectiva e de comunidade. O Youth Climate Advisory Committee de Phipps serve este prop\u00f3sito, reunindo estudantes de todos os n\u00edveis de ensino, bairros e escolas. Isto permite que cada membro expanda a sua rede para futuros empreendimentos, conhecimentos sobre t\u00f3picos ambientais e uma vis\u00e3o do que s\u00e3o solu\u00e7\u00f5es intersectoriais e eficazes para as altera\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cria\u00e7\u00e3o do Comit\u00e9<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>O Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens criou o seu Comit\u00e9 Consultivo Clim\u00e1tico Juvenil (YCAC), composto por 20 estudantes inovadores do ensino secund\u00e1rio e universit\u00e1rio, com tr\u00eas objectivos comuns <strong>educar <\/strong>a si pr\u00f3prios e aos outros, <strong>apoiar as suas comunidades<\/strong> atrav\u00e9s de iniciativas relacionadas com o clima, e <strong>promover o ativismo clim\u00e1tico<\/strong> com enfoque na justi\u00e7a ambiental. A cria\u00e7\u00e3o de um espa\u00e7o para discutir as altera\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas e a utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o dos recursos que lhes foram concedidos atrav\u00e9s da Phipps permitiram que os membros do comit\u00e9 fizessem ouvir as suas vozes na comunidade e trabalhassem ativamente para atingir estes objectivos sob a forma de projectos \u00e0 escala da comunidade. No ver\u00e3o de 2021, foi lan\u00e7ado um convite aberto a educadores p\u00fablicos e locais para encontrar estudantes interessados em integrar o YCAC como membros do comit\u00e9. Os l\u00edderes do comit\u00e9 desenvolveram reuni\u00f5es utilizando actividades que permitiram aos membros trabalhar em conjunto e utilizar compet\u00eancias de pensamento cr\u00edtico para construir rela\u00e7\u00f5es fortes em todo o comit\u00e9. Permitir diferentes formas de participa\u00e7\u00e3o, desde debates em pequenos grupos, debates no comit\u00e9, at\u00e9 f\u00f3runs em linha, diversificou a forma de contribui\u00e7\u00e3o do comit\u00e9, permitindo que todos os membros partilhassem as suas ideias e contribu\u00edssem para o grupo. Atrav\u00e9s desta colabora\u00e7\u00e3o, foi dada autonomia aos membros sobre a dire\u00e7\u00e3o do comit\u00e9. A <a href=\"https:\/\/climatetoolkit.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Charter-Document-for-Youth-Climate-Advisory-Committee-1.pdf\"><strong>documento vivo<\/strong><\/a> foi desenvolvido para refletir os valores e a miss\u00e3o do comit\u00e9 e promove um sentido de envolvimento da comunidade; todos os membros do comit\u00e9 estiveram envolvidos no desenvolvimento dos nossos ideais. O grupo tamb\u00e9m co-desenvolveu o <strong>princ\u00edpios do comit\u00e9<\/strong> com os membros, que inclu\u00edam <strong>n\u00e3o utilizar o telem\u00f3vel<\/strong>, sendo um <strong>ouvinte ativo<\/strong>e <strong>estar abertos a aprender uns com os outros<\/strong>. Todos estes m\u00e9todos aprofundaram o n\u00edvel de envolvimento dos membros na dire\u00e7\u00e3o do comit\u00e9, criando um maior sentido de envolvimento pessoal e de responsabilidade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Actividades da reuni\u00e3o<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>No in\u00edcio do YCAC, o foco era aumentar o conhecimento do grupo sobre justi\u00e7a ambiental, que se tornou parte integrante da cria\u00e7\u00e3o de projectos nos meses seguintes. Este aspeto educativo inicial do grupo permitiu que os membros aprendessem uns com os outros, se ligassem como pares e se preparassem para abordar as quest\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas com integridade e interseccionalidade. Os l\u00edderes procuraram trazer a educa\u00e7\u00e3o para as reuni\u00f5es com muitas actividades diferentes. Na primeira atividade, os membros criaram mini-projectos para ensinar os alunos sobre quest\u00f5es ambientais. Esta atividade permitiu que os membros se conhecessem uns aos outros e criassem uma ideia centrada num t\u00f3pico em que tinham um interesse comum. Estes acordos foram depois colocados no simulador e mostraram ao grupo o impacto que a sua legislatura teria se fosse implementada.
