It wasn\u2019t long ago that many of us in the world of cultural institutions felt that if our mission didn\u2019t explicitly state that we should be concerned with the environment and climate change, we were off the hook \u2014 to attend to these concerns was a form of \u201cmission creep,\u201d and environmental initiatives were best led by environmental causes. But times have changed, and they have changed rapidly: science tells us that climate change is real, advancing at an alarming rate and that it will affect everyone and everything on the planet. Today, the trust that we have established in the communities we serve and our decades of commitment to the exploration of science, history, art, and nature compel us to not only address these issues but to emerge as the leaders of change in our regions and beyond. Each and every one of us must do all we can as quickly as we can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O Toolkit foi criado para abordar quest\u00f5es relacionadas com o estilo de vida e para nos encorajar a ver o mundo de um ponto de vista regenerativo. Em muitos anos a liderar iniciativas de sustentabilidade na Phipps, descobrimos que n\u00e3o podemos aliviar as altera\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas atrav\u00e9s da a\u00e7\u00e3o de uma \u00fanica institui\u00e7\u00e3o ou de um \u00fanico indiv\u00edduo. Temos de trabalhar em conjunto.<\/strong> Os nossos departamentos de educa\u00e7\u00e3o, instala\u00e7\u00f5es, sustentabilidade, marketing, horticultura, colec\u00e7\u00f5es e outros t\u00eam sido essenciais para ajudar a estabelecer pr\u00e1ticas e continuar a trabalhar para enfrentar as altera\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas, ao mesmo tempo que s\u00e3o activos na nossa comunidade.
