Una volta gettata in discarica, la spazzatura va incontro a una decomposizione aerobica. Dopo il primo anno di permanenza in discarica, si instaurano condizioni anaerobiche e i batteri cominciano a rilasciare <strong>metano<\/strong> mentre si decompongono. Questa \u00e8 anche un'opzione meno costosa rispetto all'acquisto di acqua in bottiglia.<\/p>\n<p>Le emissioni di gas a effetto serra vengono prodotte durante l'intero ciclo di vita della plastica, a partire dal momento in cui il petrolio e il gas vengono perforati per produrre la plastica fino al momento in cui la plastica entra in una discarica. La plastica non si decompone mai. Le emissioni di gas serra sono prodotte in ogni fase del ciclo di vita della plastica. In primo luogo, il petrolio e il gas vengono trivellati per produrre la plastica e gli impianti di etanazione producono etano (un componente del gas naturale) che viene utilizzato per produrre gli elementi costitutivi della plastica. La maggior parte delle plastiche monouso si rompe e diventa microplastica.<\/p>\n<p>Utilizzando materiali che possono essere riutilizzati o compostati, potete eliminare i rifiuti di plastica e l'inquinamento e dimostrare ai vostri ospiti l'importanza della riduzione dei rifiuti.
