Climate Toolkit Symposium 2026
Call for Session Proposals
The Climate Toolkit is seeking session proposals for the Symposium 2026, hosted by Duke Farms in Hillsborough, NJ, from Oct 28 – Oct 30, 2026.
In addition to plenary sessions on Ecological Restoration ו Land Use, מחקר אקלים, Institutional Decarbonization, ו Community Engagement, the Toolkit is searching for sessions which cover a wide array of climate focus areas (including but not limited to the following):
- Education
- Youth Advocacy
- Climate Interpretation
- Programs and Outreach

- Waste Management
- Food Services
- Facilities and Operations

- Sustainable Purchasing and Procurement
- Marketing & Communication
This year’s Symposium is an opportunity for museums, gardens, zoos, aquaria, science centers and field stations to come together and share strategies for building and implementing creative, holistic solutions and outcomes to address the myriad challenges presented by the climate crisis.
Requirements:
- All session proposals are due by ____________________ and will be reviewed by the Climate Toolkit Symposium Planning Committee.
- Session proposals may include round tables, panels, presentations, and interactive workshops that focus on projects both completed and in-progress.
- Please allow 10-15 minutes for Q&A in your session.
- Please confirm that all of the proposed speakers are available during the October 28-30, 2026, conference dates before submitting a proposal.
- The Climate Toolkit does not provide honorariums or travel reimbursement for session presenters or moderators; however, there will be a discounted speaker registration rate available.
