עבדנו זמן רב לקראת יעדי קיימות כאן במרכז ההיסטוריה של אטלנטה והתמקדנו בשנים האחרונות בהפחתת השימוש באנרגיה ובהפחתת השימוש במים העירוניים.
We’ve made great strides in both areas and continue to be laser focused on reducing energy use and municipal water use further still. Our Goizueta Gardens are now entirely on well water. We dug a new well and now have two. We also found and fixed a few leaks along the way in the potable water system.
We are actively fundraising for solar, for instance, and continue to upgrade mechanical equipment.
We also recently participated in the New England Museums Association’s Culture Over Carbon program.
Our current initiatives are:
1. Replace a chiller with a more efficient one in the main chiller plant (this is donor funded and the chiller is on order)
2. Upgrade our building controls software to a new version with better security and a more usable interface. This is also donor funded.
