Les jardins doivent irriguer les plantes, mais nous devons \u00e9galement le faire de mani\u00e8re durable. La r\u00e9duction des eaux us\u00e9es permet d'am\u00e9liorer l'\u00e9coulement des eaux souterraines, les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes et les r\u00e9servoirs, de diminuer les co\u00fbts financiers et de lutter contre le changement climatique en r\u00e9duisant la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d'un traitement \u00e0 forte consommation d'\u00e9nergie. Pour ces raisons, le Climate Toolkit a r\u00e9cemment ajout\u00e9 les \u00e9l\u00e9ments suivants <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/climatetoolkit.org\/fr\/\">deux nouveaux objectifs<\/a><\/strong> directement li\u00e9s \u00e0 la gestion de l'eau. Si vous avez atteint ou pr\u00e9voyez d'atteindre ces objectifs, veuillez <a href=\"https:\/\/climatetoolkit.org\/fr\/the-climate-toolkit-update\/\">faites-nous savoir<\/a> afin que nous puissions ajouter ces informations \u00e0 la base de donn\u00e9es !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Conservatoire Phipps utilis\u00e9 <strong>comptage de l'eau<\/strong> d'analyser leur consommation d'eau et de <strong>gestion des fuites<\/strong> pour minimiser leurs pertes d'eau. Dans cet article, nous allons d\u00e9finir l'efficacit\u00e9 de l'eau, les strat\u00e9gies de l'eau du projet Drawdown, les strat\u00e9gies de conservation de l'eau de l'EPA et le comptage de l'eau dans les jardins botaniques, et expliquer comment le syst\u00e8me a aid\u00e9 le Phipps Conservatory \u00e0 r\u00e9duire de mani\u00e8re significative ses pertes d'eau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><u>R\u00e9duction du projet : Gestion des fuites<\/u><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Le projet Drawdown vise \u00e0 r\u00e9duire les \u00e9missions de carbone au niveau mondial en diffusant des informations essentielles sur le climat. <strong>solutions<\/strong>. L'organisation \u00e0 but non lucratif a publi\u00e9 des solutions sur les transports, l'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, l'alimentation et l'agriculture, la sant\u00e9 et l'\u00e9ducation, l'industrie et les b\u00e2timents, entre autres.   L'une des questions abord\u00e9es dans le cadre du projet Drawdown est la suivante <strong>Efficacit\u00e9 de la distribution d'eau<\/strong> qui \"s'attaque aux fuites dans les r\u00e9seaux de distribution d'eau\". Une quantit\u00e9 importante d'eau est perdue lorsqu'elle est pomp\u00e9e vers les diff\u00e9rents utilisateurs du r\u00e9seau de distribution. Les compagnies de distribution d'eau utilisent de l'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 pour pomper l'eau dans leur r\u00e9seau et sont donc l'un des plus gros consommateurs d'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9. Les fuites et les fissures peuvent entra\u00eener le pompage d'une quantit\u00e9 importante d'eau dans les canalisations pour remplacer ce qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 perdu, ce qui entra\u00eene une plus grande consommation d'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9. Le projet Drawdown recommande d'utiliser la gestion de la pression ou la d\u00e9tection active des fuites pour accro\u00eetre l'efficacit\u00e9 de l'eau sur le campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fuites<\/strong> peuvent \u00eatre d\u00e9tect\u00e9es \u00e0 l'aide de diverses m\u00e9thodes, notamment le comptage de l'eau, la d\u00e9tection des fuites et la gestion de la pression. Si une organisation installe des soupapes de pression, les fuites et les fissures peuvent \u00eatre d\u00e9tect\u00e9es, inspect\u00e9es et colmat\u00e9es. Si la gestion de la pression et la d\u00e9tection active des fuites sont utilis\u00e9es avec pr\u00e9cision, le projet Drawdown estime que les pertes d'eau \"peuvent \u00eatre r\u00e9duites de 38 \u00e0 47 % suppl\u00e9mentaires \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle mondiale d'ici \u00e0 2050\". La r\u00e9duction des eaux us\u00e9es permet d'\u00e9conomiser du capital tout en r\u00e9duisant les \u00e9missions de carbone actuelles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><u>Strat\u00e9gies d'efficacit\u00e9 de l'EPA : Compteurs d'eau<\/u><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>L'EPA a publi\u00e9 un guide sur les meilleures pratiques en mati\u00e8re d'utilisation rationnelle de l'eau : Gestion du r\u00e9seau d'eau, gestion des fuites, comptage, structure des tarifs de conservation, analyse de la conservation et de l'efficacit\u00e9 de l'eau pour l'utilisation finale, et plan de conservation et d'efficacit\u00e9 de l'eau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Compteurs d'eau<\/strong> Le comptage de l'eau peut \u00eatre d\u00e9fini comme la mesure du d\u00e9bit d'eau dans un syst\u00e8me et est con\u00e7u pour suivre et mesurer la quantit\u00e9 d'eau utilis\u00e9e pour l'irrigation et le traitement de l'eau. Les compteurs d'eau permettent aux utilisateurs de savoir combien d'eau ils utilisent et o\u00f9 ils l'utilisent, ce qui les aide \u00e0 \u00e9laborer des strat\u00e9gies pour r\u00e9duire la consommation d'eau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><u>Conservatoire Phipps<\/u><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Il est essentiel d'\u00e9conomiser l'eau pour r\u00e9soudre les probl\u00e8mes li\u00e9s au syst\u00e8me d'\u00e9gouts combin\u00e9s de Pittsburgh. Lorsque les pr\u00e9cipitations sont importantes, le syst\u00e8me fait d\u00e9border les eaux us\u00e9es et la pluie dans les rivi\u00e8res locales. Pour \u00e9viter cela, il est essentiel de conserver toute l'eau provenant des pr\u00e9cipitations et de r\u00e9utiliser autant d'eau sanitaire et municipale que possible. Le syst\u00e8me d'approvisionnement en eau de Phipps est divis\u00e9 en trois sections : les eaux sanitaires, les eaux municipales et les eaux de pluie. Phipps utilise des citernes pluviales, des jardins de pluie et une lagune pour r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer l'eau. L'eau stock\u00e9e est utilis\u00e9e pour irriguer les plantes, ce qui permet d'\u00e9conomiser de l'eau potable. Phipps recycle les eaux sanitaires des trois b\u00e2timents du campus inf\u00e9rieur en faisant circuler l'eau dans un bassin de d\u00e9cantation, puis dans une zone humide construite et des filtres \u00e0 sable. La derni\u00e8re \u00e9tape consiste \u00e0 faire passer l'eau nettoy\u00e9e devant une lampe UV pour tuer les \u00e9ventuels agents pathog\u00e8nes avant de la faire recirculer pour alimenter les toilettes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2012, des compteurs d'eau ont \u00e9t\u00e9 install\u00e9s sur l'ensemble du campus Phipps. Le syst\u00e8me de comptage d'eau de Phipps est r\u00e9parti dans tout le conservatoire, ce qui permet au personnel de cibler les fuites et les fissures. Dans la plupart des cas, la recherche sur les compteurs d'eau se concentre sur les \u00e9conomies potentielles et l'efficacit\u00e9 de la r\u00e9duction dans les syst\u00e8mes urbains et les zones r\u00e9sidentielles. Le conservatoire Phipps s'est concentr\u00e9 sur son infrastructure actuelle pour am\u00e9liorer ses syst\u00e8mes de distribution d'eau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"688\" height=\"391\" src=\"https:\/\/climatetoolkit.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Water-Systems.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-461\" srcset=\"https:\/\/climatetoolkit.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Water-Systems.png 688w, https:\/\/climatetoolkit.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Water-Systems-300x170.png 300w, https:\/\/climatetoolkit.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Water-Systems-100x57.png 100w, https:\/\/climatetoolkit.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Water-Systems-150x85.png 150w, https:\/\/climatetoolkit.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Water-Systems-200x114.png 200w, https:\/\/climatetoolkit.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Water-Systems-450x256.png 450w, https:\/\/climatetoolkit.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Water-Systems-600x341.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 688px) 100vw, 688px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce aux compteurs d'eau, Phipps a d\u00e9couvert qu'il avait utilis\u00e9 au total 12 050 000 gallons d'eau dans l'ensemble du conservatoire en 2012. 53% de l'eau totale a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9e pour les jeux d'eau et l'eau de traitement et 44% de l'eau totale a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9e pour l'irrigation. Phipps s'est rendu compte qu'il y avait des inefficacit\u00e9s et des gaspillages d'eau importants dans son syst\u00e8me. Au lieu de reconstruire enti\u00e8rement le syst\u00e8me, Phipps s'est concentr\u00e9 sur l'am\u00e9lioration de l'infrastructure actuelle. Ce plan consistait \u00e0 remplacer les jeux d'eau par des mod\u00e8les dot\u00e9s de tableaux de commande, de minuteries et de capteurs de niveau afin de r\u00e9duire le gaspillage global de l'eau. Outre le comptage de l'eau, les tableaux de contr\u00f4le permettent \u00e9galement d'identifier facilement les fuites et les fissures. <strong>La consommation d'eau \u00e0 Phipps a diminu\u00e9 de 45%, ce qui a permis d'\u00e9conomiser environ 1,5 million d'euros.<\/strong> <strong>5,5 millions de gallons d'eau<\/strong>. Phipps continue d'am\u00e9liorer les syst\u00e8mes et la technologie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><u>Recommandations<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Phipps recommande <strong>en utilisant le <a href=\"http:\/\/living-future.org\/lbc\/about\">P\u00e9tale d'eau du Living Building Challenge<\/a><\/strong> pour obtenir des conseils sur la construction et les r\u00e9novations existantes.<\/li><li><strong>Se concentrer sur la r\u00e9duction des eaux us\u00e9es <\/strong>dans l'ensemble du campus et non les \u00e9conomies financi\u00e8res !
