Pourtant, lorsque le jardin public du centre-ville de Sarasota a d\u00e9voil\u00e9 sa nouvelle installation d'acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l'\u00e9nergie vivante (LEAF) et son installation solaire de pointe au d\u00e9but de l'\u00e9t\u00e9, il est devenu le premier complexe de jardins botaniques \u00e0 \u00e9nergie positive nette au monde.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le projet a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9 en 2016 lorsque l'organisation a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9laborer un plan directeur en trois phases pour d\u00e9terminer comment restaurer son infrastructure vieillissante. La premi\u00e8re phase comprend les \u00e9l\u00e9ments suivants :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>L'avant-garde<strong>&nbsp;Installation d'acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l'\u00e9nergie de la famille Morganroth (LEAF)<\/strong>Il abrite un parking, un restaurant de type \"garden-to-plate\", une nouvelle boutique de souvenirs, des jardins verticaux et une installation solaire de pr\u00e8s de 50 000 pieds carr\u00e9s qui a fait de Selby Gardens un lieu de rencontre et d'\u00e9change pour les visiteurs.&nbsp;<strong>le premier complexe de jardins botaniques \u00e0 \u00e9nergie positive au monde ;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>L'\u00e9tat de l'art&nbsp;<strong>Centre de recherche sur les plantes de la famille Steinwachs<\/strong>Cette installation, qui s\u00e9curise des ressources scientifiques irrempla\u00e7ables dans une structure r\u00e9sistante aux ouragans, offre une fen\u00eatre sur les coulisses d'une recherche de classe mondiale. L'installation contient le&nbsp;<strong>Herbier et laboratoire Elaine Nicpon Marieb&nbsp;<\/strong>(abritant des collections pr\u00e9serv\u00e9es de plus de 125 000 sp\u00e9cimens de plantes s\u00e9ch\u00e9es et press\u00e9es et des travaux de science mol\u00e9culaire), ainsi qu'une biblioth\u00e8que de recherche (avec des volumes inestimables datant des ann\u00e9es 1700), un laboratoire d'esprit (avec plus de 45 000 sp\u00e9cimens pr\u00e9serv\u00e9s dans un liquide - la deuxi\u00e8me plus grande collection de ce type au monde), des salles de conf\u00e9rence, des bureaux administratifs, ainsi qu'un jardin sur le toit et un champ solaire ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>L'espace en plein air&nbsp;<strong>Centre d'accueil Jean Goldstein<\/strong>&nbsp;comprenant un pavillon de billetterie, une galerie d'accueil et un th\u00e9\u00e2tre d'accueil afin d'accueillir et d'orienter les visiteurs de mani\u00e8re ad\u00e9quate ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>une grande&nbsp;<strong>syst\u00e8me de gestion des eaux pluviales<\/strong>&nbsp;pour d\u00e9tourner et nettoyer des millions de gallons d'eau chaque ann\u00e9e avant qu'elle ne soit rejet\u00e9e dans la baie de Sarasota ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>un site accessible au public&nbsp;<strong>sentier r\u00e9cr\u00e9atif polyvalent<\/strong>&nbsp;permettant un transport multimodal vers le campus et le front de mer ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>am\u00e9lioration de la voirie hors site<\/strong>Ce qui rendra l'acc\u00e8s plus facile et plus s\u00fbr ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>et un certain nombre de&nbsp;<strong>un nouveau jardin et des jeux d'eau avec plus d'espace ouvert<\/strong>Le projet comprend un jardin d'\u00e9tangs \u00e0 n\u00e9nuphars, un jardin de la Clairi\u00e8re et la restauration de l'historique Palm Avenue en tant que promenade r\u00e9serv\u00e9e aux pi\u00e9tons.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"running-on-solar-5de691bc-ba57-4e36-ac35-a18e738fed19\"><strong>FONCTIONNANT \u00c0 L'\u00c9NERGIE SOLAIRE<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Le syst\u00e8me solaire photovolta\u00efque des jardins botaniques Marie Selby devrait produire 1,27 million de kilowattheures d'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 par an. C'est l'attitude qu'a adopt\u00e9e Jennifer Rominiecki, pr\u00e9sidente-directrice g\u00e9n\u00e9rale des Selby Gardens, il y a pr\u00e8s de huit ans, lorsqu'elle a demand\u00e9 \u00e0 son \u00e9quipe de concepteurs et d'ing\u00e9nieurs de rendre les installations aussi \u00e9cologiques que possible.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>M. Situ\u00e9 dans l'\"\u00c9tat ensoleill\u00e9\", Rominiecki a estim\u00e9 qu'il \u00e9tait logique de repousser les limites de ce qui \u00e9tait possible gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l'\u00e9nergie solaire et de montrer la voie d'une conception climatiquement positive au sein des institutions culturelles.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les Selby Gardens \u00e9tant situ\u00e9s sur la c\u00f4te du golfe de Floride, il \u00e9tait \u00e9galement important de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re dont leur installation pouvait \u00eatre r\u00e9siliente face aux ouragans et autres catastrophes climatiques naturelles. En 2017, l'ouragan Irma a frapp\u00e9 la c\u00f4te de la Floride et \"mis un point d'exclamation\" sur les efforts de durabilit\u00e9 de l'institution, a partag\u00e9 Rominiecki. Leur collection vivante \u00e9tait en danger, h\u00e9berg\u00e9e dans une infrastructure vieillissante au niveau du sol dans une zone inondable majeure. Au total, l'organisation a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 r\u00e9unir $57 millions d'euros en philanthropie priv\u00e9e pour soutenir le projet - une strat\u00e9gie qui a \u00e9galement permis de d\u00e9montrer le large soutien de la communaut\u00e9 pour ce travail.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 tous les niveaux, les membres de la communaut\u00e9 se sont mobilis\u00e9s pour offrir ce qu'ils pouvaient. Une m\u00e9thode unique de collecte de fonds a suscit\u00e9 une vague de soutien de la part de donateurs de tous \u00e2ges : L'op\u00e9ration \"Nommez un panneau solaire\" en l'honneur d'amis ou d'\u00eatres chers. Certains panneaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9s en l'honneur d'\u00e9coles locales d\u00e9favoris\u00e9es ; d'autres ont \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9s en l'honneur d'enfants et de petits-enfants de la communaut\u00e9, ce qui a \u00e9galement permis de susciter des conversations interg\u00e9n\u00e9rationnelles sur la durabilit\u00e9 de l'environnement et le r\u00f4le que chacun peut jouer.   La philanthropie priv\u00e9e a \u00e9galement permis aux Selby Gardens d'\u00eatre plus souples, ce qui \u00e9tait essentiel pour s'adapter \u00e0 l'\u00e9volution des besoins du projet et de l'environnement, et leur a permis d'obtenir la notation ESG Sustainability Bond et, par la suite, un financement obligataire de $31 millions d'euros. Lors de la vente des obligations, la demande a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9crasante, avec plus de trois fois plus de demandes. Selon M. Cette c\u00e9r\u00e9monie a \u00e9galement marqu\u00e9 le d\u00e9but d'un processus d'\u00e9valuation rigoureux de 12 mois avec l'International Living Future Institute (ILFI) en vue d'atteindre les objectifs suivants <a href=\"https:\/\/living-future.org\/lbc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Living Building Challenge (D\u00e9fi du b\u00e2timent vivant)<\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/living-future.org\/lcc\/basics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Communaut\u00e9 de vie Petal<\/a> certifications.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 la question de savoir ce que les organisations peuvent faire pour entreprendre un travail similaire, le conseil de M.
