Compos\u00e9 de deux jeunes leaders et de 18 jeunes conseillers, le groupe a \u00e9labor\u00e9 et mis en \u0153uvre des projets li\u00e9s \u00e0 l'environnement, d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 des comp\u00e9tences en mati\u00e8re de leadership et de planification de projets, s'est familiaris\u00e9 avec la justice environnementale et climatique, et a approfondi ses sujets environnementaux pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9s au cours du programme. Le groupe a travaill\u00e9 \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation d'un programme d'\u00e9tudes complet qui r\u00e9pondrait aux lacunes de l'\u00e9ducation climatique et pourrait \u00eatre enseign\u00e9 dans les \u00e9coles, quel que soit le statut \u00e9conomique. En bref, le projet se compose de trois plans de cours : la pollution de l'air, la pollution de l'eau et la pollution plastique. Chaque plan comprend une le\u00e7on \u00e9ducative et une activit\u00e9 interactive visant \u00e0 faire participer les \u00e9l\u00e8ves et \u00e0 mettre l'accent sur les id\u00e9es essentielles du plan de cours. Les causes de la pollution de l'air sont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es, ainsi qu'une explication de base sur la fa\u00e7on dont la combustion du charbon entra\u00eene la pr\u00e9sence de polluants dans l'air. Sur la base de ces informations, les \u00e9l\u00e8ves participent \u00e0 une activit\u00e9 visant \u00e0 identifier les polluants atmosph\u00e9riques \u00e0 partir d'une s\u00e9lection d'images (feu de for\u00eat, v\u00e9lo, voiture, panneaux solaires, \u00e9oliennes, lave). Le plan de cours se termine par des questions sur ce qui peut \u00eatre fait pour lutter contre la pollution de l'air, tant au niveau de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 qu'au niveau individuel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les <strong>Plan de cours sur la pollution de l'eau<\/strong> commence par demander aux \u00e9l\u00e8ves de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 quelques questions anecdotiques sur les trois rivi\u00e8res de Pittsburgh et sur les raisons pour lesquelles la pollution peut \u00eatre un probl\u00e8me dans ces masses d'eau. Ensuite, des questions telles que \"Qu'est-ce que la pollution ?\", \"Qu'est-ce que la pollution de l'eau ?\" et \"Qu'est-ce qui pourrait polluer nos rivi\u00e8res ?\" sont pos\u00e9es pour amener les \u00e9l\u00e8ves \u00e0 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 ces probl\u00e8mes. Une fois que les \u00e9l\u00e8ves ont fait part de leur point de vue, les membres du comit\u00e9 peuvent d\u00e9velopper les r\u00e9ponses des \u00e9l\u00e8ves afin d'int\u00e9grer un style d'enseignement collaboratif. Comme pour le plan de cours sur la pollution de l'air, les \u00e9l\u00e8ves sont invit\u00e9s \u00e0 identifier les polluants de l'eau \u00e0 partir d'une s\u00e9rie d'images. Enfin, un diagramme d'un syst\u00e8me d'\u00e9gout unitaire typique de Pittsburgh est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 pour d\u00e9crire plus en d\u00e9tail la fa\u00e7on dont la pollution de l'eau peut avoir un impact n\u00e9gatif sur les communaut\u00e9s de Pittsburgh. Le plan de cours se termine par la construction par les \u00e9l\u00e8ves de leurs propres filtres \u00e0 eau \u00e0 l'aide de bouteilles d'eau en plastique et par l'identification de solutions pour limiter la pollution de l'eau.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les <strong>Plan de cours sur la pollution plastique<\/strong> commence par pr\u00e9senter une activit\u00e9 similaire au jeu populaire \"Among Us\" (Parmi nous) pour faire participer les enfants de 9 \u00e0 12 ans. L'objectif du jeu est d'identifier qui pollue une communaut\u00e9 hypoth\u00e9tique. L'activit\u00e9 est suivie d'une pr\u00e9sentation de la pollution plastique qui s\u00e9vit dans la vie de tous les jours. Ensuite, les membres du groupe expliquent la production et l'histoire de l'industrie du plastique dans les communaut\u00e9s locales de l'AP. La question de la justice environnementale est abord\u00e9e pour d\u00e9crire l'impact disproportionn\u00e9 de la pollution plastique sur les communaut\u00e9s pauvres et minoritaires.
