Compos\u00e9 de deux jeunes leaders et de 18 jeunes conseillers, le groupe a \u00e9labor\u00e9 et mis en \u0153uvre des projets li\u00e9s \u00e0 l'environnement, d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 des comp\u00e9tences en mati\u00e8re de leadership et de planification de projets, s'est familiaris\u00e9 avec la justice environnementale et climatique, et a approfondi ses sujets environnementaux pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9s au cours du programme. Il est tr\u00e8s facile de se laisser aller \u00e0 un sentiment de d\u00e9faite lorsqu'on cherche des solutions \u00e0 la menace du changement climatique qui ne cesse de s'approcher, qui est d\u00e9j\u00e0 pr\u00e9judiciable et qui englobe tout. L'un des outils les plus puissants dont nous disposons pour lutter contre ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne est l'action collective. L'existence d'un r\u00e9seau ou d'un groupe de personnes concern\u00e9es par le changement climatique rend l'activisme climatique beaucoup plus accessible. Les groupes qui rassemblent les activistes climatiques pour qu'ils apprennent les uns des autres, permettent \u00e0 diff\u00e9rentes communaut\u00e9s au sein du mouvement pour la justice environnementale de se r\u00e9unir et facilitent un sentiment de force collective et de communaut\u00e9. Le comit\u00e9 consultatif des jeunes sur le climat de Phipps remplit cette fonction en r\u00e9unissant des \u00e9l\u00e8ves de diff\u00e9rents niveaux, quartiers et \u00e9coles. Cela permet \u00e0 chaque membre d'\u00e9largir son r\u00e9seau pour des projets futurs, sa connaissance des sujets environnementaux et sa vision de ce que sont les solutions intersectionnelles et efficaces au changement climatique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cr\u00e9ation du comit\u00e9<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens a cr\u00e9\u00e9 son Youth Climate Advisory Committee (YCAC), compos\u00e9 de 20 lyc\u00e9ens et \u00e9tudiants innovateurs, avec trois objectifs communs : 1. <strong>\u00e9duquer <\/strong>eux-m\u00eames et les autres, <strong>soutenir leurs communaut\u00e9s<\/strong> par le biais d'initiatives li\u00e9es au climat, et <strong>promouvoir l'activisme climatique<\/strong> en mettant l'accent sur la justice environnementale. La cr\u00e9ation d'un espace pour discuter du changement climatique et l'utilisation des ressources mises \u00e0 leur disposition par Phipps ont permis aux membres du comit\u00e9 de faire entendre leur voix au sein de la communaut\u00e9 et de travailler activement \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation de ces objectifs sous la forme de projets \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle de la communaut\u00e9. Les responsables du comit\u00e9 ont organis\u00e9 des r\u00e9unions en utilisant des activit\u00e9s qui ont permis aux membres de travailler ensemble et d'utiliser des comp\u00e9tences en mati\u00e8re de pens\u00e9e critique pour \u00e9tablir des relations solides au sein du comit\u00e9. En permettant diff\u00e9rentes formes de participation, des discussions en petits groupes aux discussions en comit\u00e9, en passant par les forums en ligne, on a diversifi\u00e9 la forme de contribution du comit\u00e9, permettant \u00e0 tous les membres de partager leurs id\u00e9es et d'apporter leur contribution au groupe. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette collaboration, les membres ont pu b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d'une autonomie dans l'orientation du comit\u00e9. A <a href=\"https:\/\/climatetoolkit.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Charter-Document-for-Youth-Climate-Advisory-Committee-1.pdf\"><strong>document vivant<\/strong><\/a> a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9labor\u00e9 pour refl\u00e9ter les valeurs et la mission du comit\u00e9 et favoriser un sentiment d'engagement communautaire ; tous les membres du comit\u00e9 ont particip\u00e9 \u00e0 l'\u00e9laboration de nos id\u00e9aux. Le groupe a \u00e9galement co-d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 le <strong>principes du comit\u00e9<\/strong> avec les membres, dont <strong>ne pas utiliser de t\u00e9l\u00e9phone<\/strong>, \u00e9tant un <strong>auditeur actif<\/strong>et <strong>\u00eatre ouvert \u00e0 l'apprentissage mutuel<\/strong>. Toutes ces m\u00e9thodes ont permis d'approfondir le niveau d'implication des membres dans la direction du comit\u00e9, cr\u00e9ant ainsi un plus grand sentiment d'implication personnelle et de responsabilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Activit\u00e9s de la r\u00e9union<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Au d\u00e9but du YCAC, l'accent a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis sur l'approfondissement des connaissances du groupe en mati\u00e8re de justice environnementale, ce qui s'est av\u00e9r\u00e9 essentiel pour la cr\u00e9ation de projets dans les mois \u00e0 venir. Cet aspect \u00e9ducatif initial du groupe a permis aux membres d'apprendre les uns des autres, de se connecter en tant que pairs et de se pr\u00e9parer \u00e0 aborder les questions climatiques avec int\u00e9grit\u00e9 et intersectionnalit\u00e9. Les animateurs ont cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 introduire l'\u00e9ducation dans les r\u00e9unions par le biais de nombreuses activit\u00e9s diff\u00e9rentes. Dans la premi\u00e8re activit\u00e9, les membres ont cr\u00e9\u00e9 des mini-projets pour enseigner les questions environnementales aux \u00e9l\u00e8ves. Cette activit\u00e9 a permis aux membres d'apprendre \u00e0 se conna\u00eetre et de cr\u00e9er une id\u00e9e centr\u00e9e sur un sujet pour lequel ils ont un int\u00e9r\u00eat commun. Ces accords ont ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 introduits dans le simulateur et ont montr\u00e9 au groupe l'impact qu'aurait leur l\u00e9gislation si elle \u00e9tait mise en \u0153uvre.
