Birch Aquarium at Scripps

Birch Aquarium at Scripps, the public outreach center for Scripps Institution of Oceanography, approaches climate change through both science communication and sustainable exhibit design. Alongside sharing climate science with the public, our Exhibits Sustainability Matrix and commitment to near-zero-waste exhibition practices aim to reduce environmental impact while modeling more regenerative approaches to museum-making. Through this community, we hope to exchange ideas and learn from others embedding sustainability into creative and educational practice.
